Privacy policy
What personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Last updated 1 November 2026.
1. Who we are
The Cooking Academy W.L.L. (commercial registration no. 115771), Building 30, Street 978, Zone 31, Doha, State of Qatar runs cookingacademy.qa and is responsible for your personal data. For any question about it, email tcawebsite@cookingacademy.qa.
2. What we collect
- Account: your name, email and password, and the phone number, address and country if you choose to give them. If you sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple or LinkedIn, we receive your name and email from them.
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount, date and payment status. Card details are handled by MyFatoorah; we never see your card number.
- Learning: the classes you open and your progress.
- AI Chef: the questions you type and any photos you send. They are used only to answer you, and we don't keep them afterwards.
- Messages: what you send us through contact forms, email or WhatsApp, and your email if you ask us to tell you about news or launches.
- Technical: your IP address and browser details, used for security, to stop abuse and to count daily AI Chef uses.
3. How we use it
To run your account and give you access to what you bought; to take payments and send receipts; to answer your questions and support requests; to keep the site secure; and, if you agree, to send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that run the site for us:
- LearnWorlds hosts the website, your account and your classes.
- MyFatoorah processes payments.
- Cloudflare provides website security and runs the services behind payments and AI Chef.
- Anthropic provides the AI model that writes AI Chef's answers.
- Resend, Mailgun and FormSubmit send our emails, receipts and contact-form messages.
We may also share data when the law requires it. Some of these providers process data outside Qatar.
5. Cookies
We use the cookies and browser storage the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your language, and basic statistics on how the site is used. We don't use advertising cookies today; if we add them, we will update this policy first.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. Purchase records are kept for as long as Qatar's tax and accounting rules require. Daily AI Chef counters are deleted after 2 days.
7. Your rights
Under Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email tcawebsite@cookingacademy.qa and we will reply within 30 days.
8. Children
Anyone under 18 should use the site with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect a child's data without a parent's consent.
9. Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and our providers protect data with standard security measures. No website is completely secure, so please keep your password private.
10. Changes
We will post any update on this page with its date, and email you about important changes.
